our next door neighbour is Crosbie House
- a residential addictions
counselling/treatment centre. We partner with Crosbie House
to
offer workshops and other supports for their ministry.
Christmas Hampers - our congregation enthusiastically supports the Christmas Hamper program, filling and distributing over 30 hampers each year.
Canadian Foodgrains Bank - we are active supporters of the local annual pumpkin growing initiative. Canadian Foodgrains Bank is a Christian-based food aid and development organization that collects donations of grain, cash and other agricultural commodities for distribution to the world's hungry.
Session - our "Elders" minister to the spiritual aspects of our life together. Our Elders maintain relationships and connections with our faith community through visiting, call, and prayer. Peter Dekker is the Chair.
Stewards - our Stewards minister to the physical/temporal aspects of our life together by maintaining our building and administering our finances. Don Rockwell is the Chair.
Official Board - our Board generally meets the last Wednesday of the month and oversees and guides the overall direction of the congregation. Jane McDonald is the Chair.
Outreach Committee - this is the group that drives the Hamper program, our Foodbank connection, writes a quarterly newsletter, and administers our "Green Board" (a buy/sell/need/give/favours board).
Faith Formation Group - this newly forming committee discusses and coordinates all of our Faith Formation initiatives including Sunday School, Bible Studies, Prayer meetings, Adult Learning Times, and even some social activities!
